Notes Mail File Termination

Your Lotus Notes Mail File - Access to be Terminated Aug 1
Guardian Going Google to: Broadcast Life 06/28/2013 10:54 AM

Note: If you are one of the remaining individuals that has not yet been converted to Google or are relatively new to Guardian and have never used Lotus Notes, you may disregard this message.

As conveyed in our early communications during the Google rollout, Guardian will be terminating access to your Lotus Notes mail file effective August 1, 2013.

How will this affect me?
  • If you access GEAR, you will still be able to do so.
  • If you access any other databases in Notes (e.g. mailing lists), you will still be able to do so.
  • If you have a local mail archive (a copy of your Notes mail saved on your hard drive), this access will remain unchanged.
  • You will be unable to access your server-based mail, calendar and contacts in Lotus Notes.
  • You will not be able to use Lotus Notes to search for old emails.

For those of you looking to search within Google, we encourage you to refer to the Google search tutorial on the end user site or GOL(click the embedded links to access the training) or attend one of our Google Q&A Open Mic Sessions and request a tutorial on how to maximize Google search. Search and register for open mic Q&A sessions at guardian.webex.com

If you have any items housed within Lotus Notes that you need to reference (for example, mail or calendar attachments that were not migrated to Google), please do so or save elsewhere prior to August 1st. Should you need to review the instructions on how to do this, please reference the Project Communications on ggg.glic.com.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the content of this email, please contact GuardianGoingGoogle@glic.com. Questions will be answered within 2 days.

Thank you,
Going Google Project Team
